This disc includes 4 fonts, two for use on MAC computers, two for use on PC. This disc also contains 4 keys, two for the MAC fonts, and two for the PC fonts. The keys show you how to enter the desired symbols or figures from your keyboard. ******************************************************************************** INSTALLATION: For all operating systems, unzip the font pack, if you haven't already. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows 7: There are a few ways to install fonts on Windows 7. 1. Double-click the font file to open the preview window. Then click 'Install'. -or- 2. Right-click the font file, and select 'Install'. -or- 3. Click the 'Start' menu, and open the 'Control Panel'. Select 'Appearance and Personalization'. Select 'Fonts'. Drag font file into the 'Fonts' window. Windows Vista: 1. Right-click the font file, and select 'Install'. Windows XP: There are a few ways to install fonts on Windows XP. 1. Click the 'Start' menu, and open the 'Control Panel'. Select 'Appearance and Personalization'. Select 'Fonts'. Drag font file into the 'Fonts' window. -or- 2. Click the 'Start' menu, and open the 'Control Panel'. Select 'Appearance and Personalization'. Select 'Fonts'. On 'File' menu, select 'Install New Font'. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MAC OS X: 1. Open 'Finder' and select 'Macintosh HD'. Select 'Library', then 'Fonts'. Then drag the font files into this folder. **Note to MAC users*** Mac OS X caches fonts to access them faster. However, these caches can have corruption issues. If you have this problem, you might see weird or overlapping characters. This is not a problem specific to PrestoMusic Fonts, but to OS X. We do not recommend typing with the MAC fonts on a PC or vice-versa. The keystrokes for extended characters are not the same on different platforms. It is safest to share your work via PDF. All PrestoMusic fonts are embeddable in PDF documents. This section applies to reading and writing word-processing documents, such as .docx or .odt files. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PC users: If you would like to type with PrestoMusic Fonts, install and use the PC-specific files. (PrestoFiguresPC.ttf and PrestoSymbolsPC.ttf) If you are reading a word-processing document containing PrestoMusic Fonts that was created on a MAC, install the MAC-specific fonts to view the symbols correctly.
